On 11 July 2025, Singapore Thong Chai Medical Institution (STCMI) held the “SG60 Celebration- Thong Chai 158th Anniversary- Charity Golf Tournament 2025”, followed by a dinner reception at Singapore Island Country Club (SICC). As of that evening, the event raised a total of SGD 1,449,269 in support of Thong Chai’s charitable medical initiatives. Over 350 guests gathered for this meaningful occasion. We were deeply honoured by the presence of Tournament Special Guest Dr Teo Ho Pin, Chairperson of the Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners Board (TCMPB), whose attendance brought prestige to the event.

Ms Low Yen Ling, Senior Minister of State, Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth, Ministry of Trade and Industry, Chairperson of Mayors’ Committee and Mayor of South West District, served as the Guest-of-Honour at the gala dinner. She fondly recalled her role as Guest-of-Honour at the previous tournament nine years ago. Witnessing the event’s growth and continued impact, she expressed her deep honour and appreciation.

Organising Chairperson Mr Melvin Poh emphasized that all costs related to the event were fully sponsored by organising committees, board members, and generous supporters. As such, all funds raised would go directly to Thong Chai’s medical services.
